After the initial adrenaline rush of finding out I was going to be a father for the first time wore off, I found myself just as fatigued as my pregnant wife (though not nearly as gaggy, thank goodness). Considering I had no reasonable explanation for being tired all the time, I could only assume I was suffering from “sympathy fatigue,” a condition I almost certainly made up on the spot.
This blog will chronicle this and the many other rigors and joys I encounter in the coming months (maybe years) as I embark on the journey of fatherhood, with as much snark as I can find the energy to muster.
If it’s funny enough, maybe I’ll get a book deal. Haha.
